Eric & Kristine's Baby Fund

Hello,

Thanks for taking the time to read this. My name is Eric Stark and I want to tell you about my wife, Kristine. From the first time I met her all she has ever wanted to be was a mother.

Now I have a wonderful daughter named Emily who is 20 and is a junior at the University of North Texas. Kristine has loved and raised her as if she was born from her womb (I won’t use the term “as if she was her own” because Emily IS “her own” and has always treated her as such). Kristine even took a job a secretary position at Aubrey High School to be more involved in Emily’s high school life. But now that Emily is graduated and off at college she has chosen to remain at the High School because she has a heart for children which is difficult at times for her because she has yet to have a child of her own. But that is where God has her (because it sure isn’t for the money…lol).

So this brings me to point of the story. Kristine and I have tried for 10 years to conceive a child unsuccessfully. We have been prayed over, prophesied over, you name it we have done it. But still have not been able to get pregnant and now we are both 41. With this in mind we went to see a fertility specialist.  Which was good news / bad news. The good was we are good candidates to get pregnant but the bad news was that there are a few things keeping me and a few things keeping her from conceiving naturally. And so the doctor thinks the best way to go was IVF or In Vitro Fertilization. And as I am sure you know this is very EXPENSIVE.

Now a little about me. I am a volunteer Praise and Worship Pastor and work for the county, not exactly high paying careers. However I have no doubt that God has a plan and that all we have to do is follow it. I believe in a BIG God who can do BIG things! He shows up in ways that we can never see coming and we would never expect so that HIS glory can be seen. At first I was hesitant to follow His plan because of my pride. But pride is my weakness and I have to let go and let God. So here it goes I am going to trust in God and see where this goes…

With that in mind we have started a “go fund me” account to raise money for a baby. But as I mentioned before we are at a race against the clock and being able to save $15,000 for the procedure would take us several years to save up (and oh by the way did I already mention I have a kid in college and we both have government jobs?) And time is simply what we don’t have at this point. So I am reaching for the kindness of friends and family to help us raise money. But more importantly to God the credit for His glory and majesty that he can make my “Sarah” a mother too.
