0% complete
$2,315 raised of $20K
15 donations
All donations to this Go Fund Me will be used directly for the mission trip this summer.
Now that the teens and adults have been selected and we know 11 will be going, we have revised our financial numbers down to $37,000. Just revised our goal again. Because the auction was so successful, we have lowered this goal to $20,000.
The biggest part of that will be airfare, estimated at $17,400; followed by construction materials of $5,000; food will be $3,000; Room and Transportation in the country could be $2,000; Vaccines could be $1,000; passports will be over a $1,000; etc.
To view our last mission trip if you want an idea of what we have done in the past here is a youtube link:
Northwest Christian Teens (NWCT) is a non-profit group for K– 12th graders. NWCT filed as an LLC in the spring of 2006 with 7 teens on the rolls. We currently have 65 teens/kids on the rolls with an average of 50 attending weekly mentored by 19 adult leaders. There are kids from many different churches represented, and there are kids from all over the valley.
NWCT continues to reach, teach, disciple and provide opportunity for service for the teens of the Silver Valley. On Sunday Nights we get together to fellowship, play games, eat, study the Bible and sing. We have outings like camping, bowling, caroling, etc. to give the teens an environment to have fun with fellow Christians. Our graduates have a record of being leaders in their Church and community.
We serve in a variety of different ways including short and long term mission trips.
In the Silver Valley, we have served by helping with the Harvest Festival and Habitat for Humanity, along with cutting firewood, cleaning yards, and doing small scale construction projects like building sidewalks and wheelchair ramps. The group has also helped Churches with VBS and filled in on Sunday morning with Worship Service. We have served in long term mission trips. NWCT teens have travelled to Chihuahua, Mexico to work with New Tribes Missions to build a dorm building; to Modesto, CA twice now to work with Advancing Vibrant Communities to lay carpet, paint graffiti, pour concrete and clean up houses; to S. Korea to work with a Baptist Church to paint an office building and run a Bible School; to Richland, WA to work on a widows house; to Nairobi Kenya to work with ICC in the slums; to Rock Nest Ranch in Houston, BC to help UIM International hang siding on their lodge and prepare their youth camp for campers, up the Ucayali River in Peru to build a church in a jungle village, Okanogan, WA to build a retaining wall for a church, the Rosebud Sioux Reservation, South Dakota to side a house, and in Loveland Colorado to serve with Group Missions. This June, 2024, the group will travel to Pucallpa, Peru and partner with “Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel International” and “The Brotherhood of Associations of Evangelical Native Churches of the Peruvian Amazon” to build a dorm building at their school.
