Hello! My name is Leah, Our dear friend, Emily Santiago, a third-year Education major, recently experienced an unimaginable loss when a fire at the University Gardens Apartments near the University of California, Riverside severely impacted her home. In a matter of moments, Emily lost nearly all of her belongings, including her clothing, shoes, school supplies, personal items, and many of the everyday necessities that most of us rely on without a second thought.

As a dedicated college student working toward her goal of becoming an educator, Emily now faces the difficult task of rebuilding her life while continuing her studies. The emotional and financial burden of replacing essential items, securing temporary needs, and recovering from this tragedy is overwhelming.

We are creating this GoFundMe to help Emily get back on her feet. Funds raised will go toward replacing clothing, shoes, toiletries, school materials, electronics, household essentials, and other necessities lost in the fire.
