Our beloved Juvetina Reyes recently passed away unexpectedly on May 7th, 2021. Juvetina was a loving mom to 9 sons, grandma to 14 grandchildren, and great grandma to 1 great grandchild. She was 71 years young at the time of her passing. Juve devoted her life to raising her boys, caring for others, and was a devout Catholic. She would happily attend any church’s service, even if the mass was in English.
Juvetina would always make sure that everyone was fed, even those whom she just met. Her specialty dish was enchiladas with a recipe from her hometown San Ciro de Acosta, San Luis Potosi in Mexico. And, they sure were a hit with everyone who had the chance to enjoy them. Juve had a soft spot for cheeseburgers and Coca Cola, even when they were limited due to her health. She always made sure to personally pick out Christmas and Birthday gifts for everyone. One year, she even bought all 9 sons the same shirt but in different colors!
Her gentle voice, her innocent smile, and her loving eyes will be missed enormously. We, as a family, are asking for any help to be able to lay her to rest and fulfill her final wishes. Any help, big or small, is greatly appreciated. Please share this campaign, pray for our family as we grieve our loss, and as Juve always said, “Dios te bendiga.”
