As you may be aware, a family of five - a mother, father, and three children - recently faced the unimaginable hardship of homelessness. After years of residing in their rented home, their landlord unexpectedly decided to sell the property, leaving them with minimal time to find alternative accommodation. In this unforgiving economy, affordable housing options are scarce, and sadly, they found themselves living in a motel for several months, struggling to make ends meet.

The situation only worsened when their car was wrecked, rendering it unusable. This unfortunate event set off a spiral of challenges, making it increasingly difficult for them to regain stability. However, amidst these hardships, our community rallied together, demonstrating the power of unity and compassion.

Thanks to the generosity of individuals like yourself, we were able to secure donations and assist them in moving into an older home, albeit in Fluvanna. While this was a significant step forward, it brought about its own set of challenges. The parents' jobs are located in Louisa, creating a logistical dilemma as commuting becomes impractical

We refuse to let this family fall through the cracks. We are determined to provide them with the support they need to thrive once again. Currently, our focus is on securing reliable transportation that will enable them to maintain their jobs, stability, and ultimately, their home.
