Bring Stephen Home!

My name is Tara. As much as I hate asking for this kind of help...it's my humble duty to get the means necessary to bring my brother Stephen home. I was recently notified that my brother who resided in Erie, PA passed away from a heart attack back in February of this year. We started to get worried as we hadn't heard from him but at the same time, Steve liked to have his solitude so if he disappeared here and there, we didn't get too concerned. I was given a reason "couldn't locate next of kin" by multiple entities in Erie as to why we weren't made aware of his passing. I have spoken with his landlord who has asked me to come to PA to retrieve his sensitive documents as well as belongings before they are thrown away. I have spoken with Erie County Coroner and he has informed me that I will need to hire a lawyer to petition the court to release my brother's ashes to me. As well as pay for cremation costs. I already feel awful asking for help, It would be terrible for my brother to be alone any longer than he already has and I would like to be able to bring him and his belongings home to Maine in order to be shared with his family here.

I am asking for help with last minute travel plans to PA, lawyer fees and cremation fees and whatever else may arise. I have had to really choke down my pride to make this fundraiser so I promise to show receipts and responsible allocated funds every step of the way. Please also pray for Stephen as well as his loved ones and friends. He was a pretty awesome brother and a badass, cool dude.
