Rivers Christmas Project Toiletry Drive

Hey there my name is in Anna Larsen and I am the proud mother of River Jensen. 8 years ago River started Rivers Christmas Project. This is a toiletry drive to benefit the homeless in our area. Over the years she has collected hats, socks, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste among other various items that people on the streets may need. Each kit includes a variety of the above items as well as a handwritten note of encouragement from River. The items are handed out at various local charities such as the Salvation army, Serenity House along with both Port Angeles and Sequim food banks. In years past we have also handed out packs do people on the streets of Seattle.

We only have enough supplies to meet 1/4 of our yearly goal which is 1500 bags. We are hoping to raise enough money to purchase the needed items as well as more winter hats gloves and more socks.

This will be River's final year of doing the toiletry drive since she will be headed off to college next year, we would really like to see if this year be a huge success and our best year yet.

River is an amazing young lady who not only attends high school Taking AP classes but works a part-time job and still manages to give back to her community. She has spent the last 8 Holiday seasons working diligently to show others what this season is truly about and that is the giving. Please help if you can and share if you will
