Headwaters Protectors for houseless folks
Donation protected

Headwater Protectors provides compassionate water and trash services to people experiencing homelessness in Denver, CO. Our city's sharp rise in property value, rent, and cost of living has led to an unaffordable housing crisis; our public officials ignore and deny sustainable solutions to offer safe, suitable accommodations. Meanwhile, the precarious situation of underserved individuals leads to higher rates of homelessness for minimum wage workers, people living with mental health disorders, and Veterans. Currently, we service encampments every Sunday. We believe everyone deserves basic access to water and sanitation.
We currently have a trailer to haul water, sanitation equipment and basic supplies. We are in the process of securing a truck to pull the trailer. With funding, we will be able to more efficiently distribute water to more camps more frequently. Our goal is to be able to service camps every day, not just Sundays. Funds raised will also be used for trash bags, gloves, hand sanitizer, and other necessary items.
