Sue's Closet is a Medical Equipment Lending Service. We opened our doors in July 2025. Available to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. As a nonprofit, we are currently Incorporated with the State of Oregon, and are pursuing our 501 (c) (3) status.
While we finalize the tax-exempt status and pursue other grant opportunities, YOU CAN HELP US by financially donating here!
The funds donated support our operating costs and give us the option to purchase inventory of frequently borrowed items.
How the lending service works:
Medical equipment lending and free medical supplies are offered at no cost by Sue’s Closet, a non-profit organization providing support for the residents of Yamhill County and surrounding areas. We take donations of new and used medical equipment and supplies. "If it's medical, we will take it"!
At Sue's Closet, it is our mission to OPEN OUR HEARTS TO LEND A HAND, supporting family members caring for loved ones at home.
OUR JOURNEY
This is our mom, Sue Boyd. In 2022, she was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and died three short months after her diagnosis. In Sue’s lifetime, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, beloved family member, business owner, longtime community member, and a cherished friend to many. Our family embraced caring for our mom in her home, which required an enormous amount of medical equipment and supplies, as well as love and support from our community and her healthcare team. As time went on, nearing the end of her life, we faced the question, “What do we do with all this stuff?”, and “How can we make this easier for others, knowing the challenges we had in getting the things we needed?” In that moment of reflection, before she passed, we shared with my mom the vision of Sue’s Closet and the legacy her name would have in us opening our hearts to lend a hand to others. (Written by her daughter, Lecia Boyd).
Thank you for your support, The Sue's Closet Team
