Food for staff at Weill Cornell Hospitals

This fundraiser is to raise money for staff on the floor my good friend who is an RN works on at NY Presbyterian, a major Manhattan hospital center. Patients have been rerouted to her unit from other floors in an effort to open beds for COVID patients. As the number of cases increase, they are anticipating having an increase in discharges and admissions of patients under investigation for or positive cases for COVID-19.
I know that this is a common story today in New York City hospitals, unfortunately, and it will continue to get worse. I understand that more than anything, medical staff needs protective equipment, which is scarce.
The money raised will be used to make large food orders for staff on their floor for both the day and evening shift. Healthy, nourishing food may help give them energy to get through their hectic shifts, and maybe a small reminder that the bystanders (us) appreciate and love them for caring for our loved ones and community. These people are our heroes today and I truly believe that showing love can provide strength in an unimaginably difficult time like today.
I've coordinated with my friend to get this done in the most efficient way possible, and to make sure that each shift gets an order. There will be about 25 staff working that floor each day so the goal amount should feed them for at least a few days.

**UPDATE: We've been overwhelmed with support, so we've had to change our original goal to feed healthcare workers in other Weill Cornell hospitals that are not receiving such food relief. Details to come. Thank you!!!***
***We donated 120 meals to Gracie Square Hospital in the Upper East Side from local restaurant "Greek Eats," a psychiatric hospital who is also treating psychiatric patients diagnosed with COVID.
