Hi, I am Colton Jennings, and I founded Nourish Kits. I created Nourish Kits for one reason: childhood hunger is a problem, and I want to be a part of the solution. I am currently a student-athlete at Saint Francis University and study Psychology and Pre-Law; furthermore, I will pursue law school after my undergrad.
Nourish Kits was founded in 2021 with a mission to provide easy-access meals to children in need over their winter break. In 2021, we completed our mission by raising over $6,000 and providing over 240 grocery store gift cards to every student at Saint Francis Elementary in Cleveland, OH. I am excited to announce we are back in 2022 and making our goal even higher to help defeat childhood hunger.
This year we will be working with John Muir Elementary School in Parma, OH. We will be raising money from September through Mid-December. Following the collection of funds, we will purchase the grocery store gift cards and give them to families in need over Christmas break.
Nourish kits is a charity that allocates all of its funds to help families in need. Many children on assisted meal plans at school undergo extreme hunger over winter break because they are not receiving the meals they would if they were at school. The crisis of childhood hunger is not a small one, but small steps can lead to significant change. The cost to feed one child in need for one whole week is around $25. Any amount donated is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in a child's life. Thank you for your gracious donation and support.
