Help Women Speak Up for Trans Inclusion: Support NION Women
Tens of thousands of women have now signed our letter - Not In Our Name: Women in support of the trans community, making it clear that trans exclusion is not something being done on our behalf.

At a time when trans people are used as a political battleground, nearing 100,000 cis* women in the UK have quietly come together to say something simple but powerful:

We stand alongside the trans+ community.

This campaign exists to make that support visible. Because the louder and more visible that solidarity becomes, the harder it is for others to claim that trans-exclusionary rhetoric and practices represents women as a whole.

Why we’re fundraising
Not In Our Name is a volunteer-led campaign. Everything we do is run by women who care deeply about the well-being and dignity of trans people. But as the campaign grows, there are some basic costs and technical tools that we need to help us keep going and reach more women who have not yet heard from us. We are raising a modest fund to help cover things such as:

  • Events and community meet-ups
  • Technical tools that allow us to communicate and grow
  • Helping our message reach women beyond our immediate networks
  • Supporting the practical costs of running a national volunteer campaign

We do not have access to large budgets or media platforms. Everything we do is people-powered. That means we operate as a grassroots collective, and small contributions from supporters can make a real difference to how far this message of solidarity travels.

Why this matters
Much of the public conversation suggests that women and trans people are in conflict. But the tens of thousands of women who have signed our letter show something very different. They show that many women believe in fairness, dignity and inclusion, and want trans people to know they are not alone.

With your help, we can keep reaching more women and growing a collective voice of support that is impossible to ignore.

What happens if we raise more than we need
We are aiming to raise enough to cover the basic running and outreach costs of the campaign. If we raise more than we need for that purpose, any additional funds will be donated to a trans charity supporting the trans community directly. We will share details of any donations to anyone who has opted to receive updates, as well as through our website and social media channels.

A campaign built by women who care
Not In Our Name exists because cis women decided to speak up. We are teachers, parents, students, professionals, activists and allies. None of us are paid to do this work. We simply believe that trans people deserve respect, safety and solidarity, and that women’s voices should never be used to justify trans-exclusion.

If you believe the same, and would like to help us continue this work, we would be deeply grateful for your support. Even a small contribution helps keep this volunteer campaign running and helps our message reach more women across the country. Together we can show that exclusion is not inevitable.

And that it is not in our name.

If you can’t support financially, you can still help us by sharing our letter - Not In Our Name: Women in support of the trans community at: notinourname.org.uk
