This year, a team of students from Norwich University will embark on a journey to Rwanda through the Center for Civic Engagement (CCE). Together, we’ll serve alongside local communities, learn about Rwanda’s incredible story of resilience and unity, and represent Norwich’s commitment to service, leadership, and global citizenship.
Our mission is to learn through action — to listen, help, and grow while working on meaningful projects that strengthen communities abroad and shape us into better citizens at home.
Rwanda stands as one of the most inspiring examples of reconciliation and national rebuilding in the modern world. During our time there, we’ll engage with local partners on education, cultural exchange, and community development projects, gaining firsthand experience in how civic action and unity can rebuild a nation.
This trip is more than a learning opportunity — it’s a chance to live out Norwich’s values of service before self, compassion, and global awareness.
While in Rwanda, our team will:
- Work with community organizations and schools on service projects
- Participate in educational and cultural immersion experiences
- Share our experiences with Norwich & the community upon return
