Pride as an event isn’t just a party. It’s a lifeline. It’s the one day where LGBTQ+ people in our community can exist fully, freely, and without fear. It’s where young people see themselves represented for the first time. It’s where friendships are made, lives are changed, and the message is sent loud and clear: YOU ARE WELCOME HERE.
We are currently raising funds to support our first community-led, free to attend, Pride event on 19 September 2026, running 11am - 4:30pm, held in Northwich town centre, working in partnership with local stakeholders. Where possible, are using local performers and activity providers (artists and community groups) and local food and drink suppliers for the event. Northwich Pride 2026 will reflect our town and our community values.
Recognising that Pride is not just a one-day event, we already hold bi-monthly socials and have several creative projects on the go with local stakeholders, including:
- Evening socials on the first Monday and second Saturday of the month
- Northwich and Cheshire Pride Community Quilt project
- Creative writing project with Body Positive, Cheshire Museums and Cheshire West and Chester Library Services.
Your donations will help us to continue to support members of our LGBTQIA+ community and their families for years to come through creative and social activities and events.
