About NorhtStar

NorthStar Atlanta is a mentorship program for boys ages 7-20. We are committed to turning boys into men, men into fathers, and fathers into leaders, with the goal of restoring and reshaping our low in come communities. We achieve this by teaching social-emotional learning (SEL), self-identity, financial literacy, and the power of education. As part of our commitment, we offer free tutoring to all members.

Additionally, we provide breakfast and lunch to each member (20-30 boys) during our sessions, which take place 2 to 3 times a month. We also bless a family with a week’s worth of food during each session. While we occasionally run short on food, we always do our best to feed as many people as possible.

For the past three years, we have served the Grove Park area by partnering with two KIPP schools—Woodson Park and KIPP Ways. We have also hosted two annual boys’ retreats each summer for the past two years.
