For the 19th year Colorado Christian University will be taking a team for an outreach over the Thanksgiving break on the Wind River Reservation with the Northern Arapaho tribe. These past years students have been going to the Arapahoe School, in Arapahoe, Wy, to interact for three days in the classrooms with the Northern Arapaho students. While we are there, we bring 8,000 pounds of food and assemble food boxes for the Thanksgiving break for the 250 families of the school. We distribute the food at a community meal cooked for the families of the school on the Tuesday of Thanksgiving.
Through the classroom interaction, eating meals with students, providing food for the families, and the community meal, CCU students are provided the great honor of touching a different culture for learning, service, and understanding. Your donations will be solely used to purchase food for the families at the school--especially for the 300 turkeys that need to be purchased. Please add us to your prayer list that the logistics, travel, and relationships will be smooth and rich.
