North Durham Good Samaritan

I am a neighbor of the North Durham area in North Carolina. This summer a man with a shovel and wheel barrow began shoveling out an overgrown path. Flying solo out in the summer heat, creating a nice clear path for people to walk on.

If you live in North Durham or are familiar you know that the sides of the road on Roxboro Rd are not safe due to being heavily overgrown and without sidewalks. This area is well traveled with bus stops and shopping centers. It is very unsafe; the sides of road are not well maintained or mowed, and the ground is uneven. There is a portion of road with a bridge and there is only a 1 foot clearance to walk on; most of the time people have to step down into the very busy road. 

This amazing human I hear has given his time and energy to several other places around town tidying up and repairing things. He has been out in the wonderful NC summer heat chipping away at the weeds and overgrown mess that covers the side of the road to create a walking path for pedestrians in his community.

I am the process of finding out this neighbors name and to make sure he welcomes any public attention to his hard work he is so selflessly giving to his community. I would like to get his permission before calling the news or such. In the meantime Ihave created this fundraiser for him where we can show thanks and appreciation to this member of our community.
