Help Us Bring the Blue Wave to North Jeffco!
Democrats all around Birmingham – including new and revived Democratic clubs in Shelby County, Hoover, Vestavia, Mt. Brook, Homewood, Southside, and downtown – are ready for the Blue Wave in the 2018 Mid-term Elections.
Now, we, Greater Birmingham Democrats (GBD) want to carry that momentum to a dozen or so small towns north of town -- Gardendale, Fultondale, Mt Olive, Morris, Kimberly, Trafford, Center Point & Pinson. Here, the data show us Democrats make up about 50% of the voters, but they think they are ALL alone.
That’s where we need your help – in two important ways!
First, we hope you will consider being a “host” for our Blue Wave Candidate Forum – with the “Big 10 Democrats” -- July 30 6-8 p.m. at the Exhibition Hall at the Gardendale Civic Center , the only facility large enough for this event. We will use donations to cover the facility fee ($1,200). Donations of any size are welcome, but $50 gets you a new, hot-off-the-press Blue Wave T-Shirt designed by Joellyn Beckham, creator of the Bright Blue Dot.
Second, we hope you can come to the forum and talk with neighbors and others you never knew wanted to be BLUE WAVE voters! Come and meet AL House candidate for N Jeffco Veronica R. Johnson, Walt Maddox (Governor), Will Boyd (Lt Governor), Joe Siegelman (Atty General), Heather Milam (Sec of State), Judge Bob Vance (Chief Justice AL Supreme Court), Danner Kline (U.S. House of Representatives, 6th Dist.), Cara McClure(Public Service Comm PL 1), Kari Powell (Public Service Comm PL 2), & Danny Carr (Jeffco DA).
We will be collecting names and contact information to begin organizing in north Jeffco for 2018, 2020, and 2022. Together, we all did it last December and we can do it again this November!
