Nofret's citizenship battle

Donation protected
Two years ago, my dear friend, Nofret, moved from Peru to the United States so she could finally be with the love of her life-Alex. She sacrificed everything to pick up and move to spend the rest of her life with her best friend. When she arrived here, she couldn't have been happier. They shared the most intimate and heart warming wedding I have ever had the honor of attending. We came from far and wide to see one of our best friends and soon-to-be best friends finally have the opportunity to be together. Nofret and Alex have created a beautiful life here around all those they love while also building a great life with fantastic jobs.  Unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse.
After years and years, thousands and thousands of dollars, tremendous piles of paperwork, many lawyers, and several headaches and tears, Nofret has been denied her citizenship. Since day 1 she has done everything the legal way and has tried to become a citizen. She was always honest and committed to doing this process the right way. She's been here legally thus far, using her work visa to maintain a great job, where she was about to get a promoted to manager. The day of her promotion her work visa expired.
Nofret spends insufferable amounts of time speaking to US government officials, explaining every last detail of her life, she spends ridiculous amounts of money to continue on this vicious cycle that just keeps turning on her.

Now they have spent all the money they have worked insanely hard for to make sure Nofret could stay with Alex and all of her beloved friends in the U.S. Their savings is depleting from the costs of keeping her here, and now she cannot even obtain a work visa to continue working to pay to fight this battle to stay here, so they are relying solely on Alex's income to survive, as well as keep them here.
JUST to have a lawyer work on her case is at least $2,000 plus other fees. It will be $4,000 for a more promising result. The last few years they have NEVER asked for help, and instead helped everyone around them because that's the kind of people they are. She is very close to being deported despite their tireless efforts. Being married to a U.S. citizen isn't always enough. They are mentally exhausted and hope is slowly dissapating.  The toll it has taken on them personally, as a couple, and to all of those around them has been overwhelming and exhausting.
If she is forced back to Peru then she cannot return to the U.S. for 10 years. This is not fair for someone who is trying to get her citizenship the RIGHT WAY. Please help keep them together in the United States. Not many are more deserving than Nofret. She is the kindest most genuine, most caring, loving human I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and many if us are not ready to say goodbye and lose our friends.
The bar seems like it is set high, but keep in mind gofundme is for-profit, so I want to set the bar to just enough to help them get the help they need. Every penny helps. Please help keep these amazing people together in the United States. They are more than deserving
