Fundraising for Noah Herniman & Noah’s Retreat

We are incredibly proud to be coming together across Mathern Day Nursery, Caerwent Day Nursery and the Monmouthshire Nursery Group, throughout the 2026/27 academic year to raise as much money as possible for a very special young man from our local community. Noah Herniman from Chepstow.

Noah was diagnosed at the age of 15 with an inoperable brain tumour.

He underwent 3.5 years (166 weeks) of chemotherapy.

The tumour is in his brain stem and unfortunately there is no other treatment available.

After becoming very unwell, Noah bravely chose to stop any further treatment.

In 2022, Noah decided he didn't want money raised for treatment that doesn't exist.

Instead, he wanted to give families time, memories and a place to relax together whilst going through the toughest times.

He raised enough to purchase a fully accessible lodge on a Haven site in Burnham-on-Sea, with full access to all Haven facilities.

A special place for families with children undergoing cancer treatment to make precious memories together!

Noah’s Retreat.

Noah’s story is one of incredible strength, courage and determination, but above all, his desire to help.

Noah has shown incredible kindness and determination in turning his own difficult experiences into something positive for other families.

Now, we want to help him continue that incredible work & raise as much money as we can to support this.

Throughout the 2026/27 academic year

Mathern Day Nursery, Caerwent Day Nursery and the Monmouthshire Nursery Group will be joining together to organise fundraising events, challenges and activities, all with one very special goal:

To raise as much money as we possibly can for Noah’s Retreat.

We want to bring our nursery families and wider community together to support Noah and the incredible difference he is making for other children and their families.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help.
