Noah's Give-A-Gift: Brighten a Child's Holiday

NOAH'S GIVE-A-GIFT 2024

Noah Martin Carthen was born to Nicholas Carthen and Lindsay Carthen on April 10, 2017, at Kingwood Hospital. He was a 3-month preemie, born just 2 lbs. 6 oz. Despite his size and lung concerns, Noah had a miraculous recovery and was discharged home after spending 2.5 months in the NICU under the care of the amazingly skillful doctors and nurses. We are eternally grateful for these men and women.

Noah grew up to be a beautiful, strong, healthy, funny little boy hitting all of his milestones. Being our first child, Noah blessed us with the life lessons of patience, forgiveness, inner strength, sacrifice, faith and the most important unconditional LOVE.

We believe God sent Noah to us 3 months earlier, because he knew he would be bringing his Angel home sooner than we could have fathomed.

On November 30, 2018, Noah was diagnosed with a "daycare virus" that he appeared to have recovered from naturally. Ten days later, at the age of 20 months, our sweet boy Noah was called home by God. Doctors would later diagnosis his illness as Myocarditis.

In the months and years following Noah's passing, both Noah and God made their presence known to us and to many others, letting us know they are watching over and protecting us each and every day. A single butterfly flying in the middle of a family gathering; wind passing through his wind chimes when our hearts are welling up; that overwhelming desire to hug your children out of nowhere-that is Noah touching our heart. In his own way, Noah continues to bless our hearts, encouraging us to spread his love.

In efforts to spread his love this year, we have joined with Francis Elementary School (local Title I school) located in Humble, in an effort to provide a Christmas Gift to EACH child this holiday season.

Our goal is to bless all 800 beautiful children, in hopes that we remind them how special, supported and loved they are by their community.

The Francis Elementary School culture prides themselves in setting goals for the children that focuses on elevating self-esteem, positive behaviors and academic success including:
