Hello, everyone:
My name is Noah Foulks, and I am a Life Scout from Pathway to the Rockies Troop 220/Crew 762. As part of my Eagle Scout service project, I am organizing and leading the xeriscaping effort for The American Legion Post 209, a patriotic veteran-service organization devoted to mutual helpfulness and serving all veterans as well as our local communities.
Currently, the ground cover on the side of the building is a mixture of grass and mulch. The edge is done with cement blocks, some of which are broken. The staff is finding it difficult to maintain the grass. My goal is to remove the grass and mulch, place a weed barrier, and cover it with 2” of rock. A metal edging will be laid next to the sidewalk to retain the rocks. I hope to complete this project by late July.
Please reference the simplified breakdown of the cost:
Materials (panels, posts, cement, etc.) - $2600
Tool Rental - $362
Supplies (food for volunteers, trash bags, etc.) - $300
Any contribution or support would be greatly appreciated and will be properly recognized in project documentation. Your help in making this project a reality will support the maintenance of the grounds and save on water usage. Any remaining funds raised will be donated to The American Legion Post 209.
Please note that you can customize your tip for GoFundMe services.
Thank you for your consideration and support!
Sincerely,
Noah Foulks
Eagle Scout Candidate, Troop 220/Crew 762
