Noah Carriere's Eagle Scout Project

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Noah Carriere, I am a Life Scout in Troop 56, based in Wilmington, MA. I am raising money for my Eagle Scout Project. My project is the installation of a Battlefield Cross inside of the Veterans lot of the Wildwood Cemetery. A Battlefield Cross consists of a pair of combat boots with an M16/M4 rifle planted in the ground between them, and a soldier's helmet resting on top of the butt of the rifle. There are also dog tags hanging from the rifle. The tradition dates back as far as the Civil War, where soldiers would be buried on the battlefield in a designated area. I am commissioning a life-size bronze sculpture of a battlefield cross which will be placed at the base of the flagpole in the center of the Veterans lot, facing the crosses.

I hope my project will benefit the Wilmington community by bringing an impressive sculpture into the Veterans lot of the Wildwood Cemetery. It will be a designated and special place where family members and citizens can pay respects to all of Wilmington's fallen. The monument will be a lasting tribute to fallen service members and a reminder to all that the citizens of Wilmington will never forget their ultimate sacrifice. I also hope it will attract more people to visit the Veterans Lot to pay their respects to our fallen heroes.

Any extra funds will be donated to the Wilmington Department of Veterans Services.

Thank you so much for your time and support; any donation amount is greatly appreciated!
