ROLE CALLLLLL!!! — NO SWEET LEFT BEHIND
Dec 11, 2025 — San Francisco, CA
The Department of Education just admitted they plan to break the Sweet v. Cardona (McMahon) settlement — again. They’re asking Judge Alsup to delay justice another 18 months (until July 2027) for 190,000+ borrowers who’ve already waited long enough.
We’re not letting that slide. NO SWEET LEFT BEHIND.
This isn’t just one lawsuit — it affects every borrower still waiting on Borrower Defense to Repayment (BDTR) or school group discharge relief. The Department of Education has even admitted in court that those cases are “on the back burner.”
On December 11, 2025, at 8:00 am, we’re showing up in Judge Alsup’s courtroom in San Francisco, CA, to ensure they see real borrowers, real stories, and real accountability. We are seeking donations to organize a collective in-person event!
Funds cover:
- Travel assistance: airfare, gas, train/bus tickets for borrowers attending the Dec 11 hearing.
- Lodging assistance: hotel rooms, shared accommodations, or Airbnbs near the courthouse.
- Local transportation: rideshares, parking fees, BART/bus passes for attendees.
- Signage and banners: materials for unified borrower messaging (“No Sweet Left Behind,” etc.).
- Public awareness materials: graphics, digital tools, or small ad boosts to spread updates in borrower communities (if we get to this point)
This is a grassroots, volunteer-led effort — no corporate backing, no politics, just borrowers helping borrowers. All funds go directly to travel and logistics; no personal income, no fluff, no BS. Any leftovers will be donated to a nonprofit or charity.
⚖️ We’re done waiting. We’re showing up.
In Solidarity!!
