All Donations Collected on this GoFundMe Campaign are for Legal Fees to Stop the PCB Dump and Deposited Weekly at Lee Bank in the "No PCB Dumps" account.
As a result of a secret deal made behind closed doors, GE is planning on putting a PCB dump less than 2 miles from downtown Lee. PCBs are dangerous cancer-causing toxins.
This dump is going to be 20 acres in size which is bigger than 15 football fields.
On 1/26/21, the Lee Selectboard publicly refused to help us stop the PCB dump even though the Townspeople voted to rescind the secret contract with GE and demanded that the Lee Selectboard hire a lawyer to follow through.
We citizens have hired our own lawyer to represent us to Stop the Dump. This is a battle worth fighting and we are all in. However, as everybody knows, lawyers are expensive!
Please help us fight GE.
We need donations for our legal fund.
We have over 5,000 people in this group. If everyone contributed an average of $10, we would have $50,000 and exceed our goal!
