The COVID-19 pandemic has led to hotel/restaurant/casino closures and massive job losses on our beloved island of Aruba. With over 60% of Aruba's GDP made up from the services sector, the strain of this unprecedented economic downturn on families & communities is real, and far-reaching. Simply put: loss of income for parents and caregivers means less food on the table.
With your help, we want to ensure that children have access to the food that they need, every day.
Marc & Anna of Scott's Brats, Peter & Amal of Alfie's, Mark Purcell Jr. of Old Dirty Bird, Marlene Nichols, and myself, Mark Purcell Sr., have come together to establish a food bank/meal centre on our beautiful island.
We feel it necessary to do our part in making sure No Child Goes Hungry during these trying times. If you are able to help, no amount is too small. Anything and everything is much appreciated.
