Hi, I’m Harry — “I’m just your basic average guy, and I’m here to save the world, you can’t stop me 'cause I’m Har-ry Tran-an!”

…Okay okay, sorry — I had to.

But seriously, I need your help supporting three incredible causes close to my heart:

1) An orphanage supporting blind children and teens — helping them navigate life with confidence, care, and the right tools.

2) An orphanage that takes in abandoned children — offering them safety, warmth, and a sense of family.

3) A cause that helps building housing for young adults who grew up in orphanages — because turning 18 shouldn’t mean being left with nothing.

Everyone's going through hard times with the cost of living but honestly, even £1 makes a big difference.

I’ve personally saved up £900 to support these three causes, and this fundraiser is simply a way to build on that — so each place receives even more of the help they truly deserve. The funds will go toward things like good-quality ingredients so volunteers can cook warm, nourishing meals for the children, educational resources to support their learning, clothes that fit and feel good — all the simple things in life that many of us, myself included, so often take for granted.

As some of you know, I’ll be travelling around Asia over the next few months. Preparing for this trip has made me reflect a lot — on how lucky we are to have the freedom to explore, to feel safe, to take opportunities for granted. But for many kids, that kind of freedom isn't even a distant dream.

That’s why I’ve made this pledge — to stand behind these three incredible causes. I truly believe every child deserves the chance to start life on a fair footing — surrounded by care, dignity, and opportunity. These organisations work tirelessly to make that happen. But they’re not backed by the government — they rely entirely on the kindness of sponsors and donors to stay afloat.

During my time in Asia, I’ll be travelling in and out of Vietnam, and whenever I’m there, I’ll be volunteering at these orphanages at least two to three days a week — whether that means washing dishes, scrubbing floors and toilets, helping teach English, or simply spending time with the kids so they feel seen, heard, and cared for.

While I won’t be able to visit these orphanages every year, my commitment to them doesn’t end with this trip. If all goes well, I hope to continue supporting these causes year after year — in whatever way I can — because the need doesn’t stop, and neither should the care.
