Bullet- one of the most gentlest, smartest, happiest, and handsome German Shepherd you’ll ever meet. A member of the Blanco family.

On Sunday, 10/30 he was taken to an emergency vet hospital due to an extended abdomen. Upon extensive testing, Bullet has a massive pool of blood floating in his abdomen which is life threatening. Hemangiosarcoma is the medical term. A cancerous mass on his spleen that has ruptured causing the pooling of blood.

As of 10/31 at 6am, Bullet received emergency surgery for a full splenectomy. The sample will be headed to a lab today and will find out in about a week if benign which will be the hopeful outcome, or malignant which means it will continue to spread if no additional treatment such as chemotherapy is taken.

This is a completely unexpected situation and no one could ever plan for something this drastic to happen to their dog overnight. He is more than a dog, he is a son to the Blanco family. Jose is a Marine Corps Veteran and an honored member of the NYPD. Bullet is a loyal companion to our war hero which has helped aid in companion support tremendously.
