AND WE’RE BACK FOR YEAR #2!!!
Small town fundraiser turned non-profit status to raise money for surprise gifting of local small business staff members.
While we are still waiting on some paperwork from the state for business donations - I didn’t want to waste anymore time! So we will start off the old school way like last year … here we go!
Last year was such a success. We raised over $30,000 and surprised more than 300 local restaurant staff with $100 cash. This year - we’re doing it again! However, we are going to plan to go a little bigger than last year!
Instead of 12 days of gift giving (which turned into close to 3 months last year anyway due to the popularity) - we are starting with THIRTY DAYS OF GIFT GIVING FOCUSED SOLELY FIRST ON MEDIA RESTAURANTS!!
Surprise gifting will officially begin this Thursday, December 16th. We will be posting fun updates with videos just like last year so please be sure to follow along!
Without a website payment portal we will be using GoFundMe just like last year as well as Venmo @BeTheJoyFoundation
I am so excited to be bringing this community effort back around the holidays. Couldn’t be more excited to start spreading some JOY! And yes, I will likely be in my same gifting gear as last year!
Goal #1 of $1200 hit on 12/16 just over 24 hours into fundraiser!
Goal #2 of $2400 was flown through on 12/17 on day 2 of gifting by a very generous donation by a Media resident! Putting us so close to Goal #3 !!
