Following the passing of the wonderful Katy after her recent devastating cancer diagnosis, on behalf of myself and everyone at Allerton Bywater Miners FC we are hoping to raise anything we can to help financially support her beautiful, brave family in what is a hugely challenging time for her husband Dan and 4 incredible children.

Only 10 weeks ago, 36-year-old devoted mum-of-four, Katy Powell, received the devastating diagnosis of metastatic bowel cancer.

Following truly wonderful care during her stay with the Prince of Wales hospice in Pontefract, Katy incredibly managed to raise over £7,000 for the care home in just a month, perfectly demonstrating her kind and driven nature, throwing herself into helping others rather than focusing on herself.

Katy sadly passed away following her short battle over the weekend surrounded by her loving family.

Whilst the family is grieving the immeasurable hole left by Katy's sudden passing, we endeavour to support them as much as possible to ensure financial concerns are not in the way of Dan being able to focus on what matters most, helping his 4 children navigate life without their selfless mum.
