Brain Tumor/Cancer Fundraiser
Tax deductible
As many of you know, my family and I have a lot of experience in regards to brain tumors and neuropathologies. In 2008, my Grandma Alice passed away from a glioblastoma brain tumor. Two years after her passing, three extremely close family friends and neighbors were diagnosed and died of this same type of tumor. Now, my father, Michael, is currently battling a maningioma tumor. Needless to say, brain tumors are an extremely devastating pathology that not only severely affect the well-being of the individual, but also possess a much farther reaching impact upon families, friends, and loved ones. The devastation is universal and felt by everyone involved.
Due to all of the exposure and pain my family and I have experienced due to brain tumors, the idea of programing this fundraiser came to mind in order to offer love and support to those families who are negatively impacted as well. All of the money that is raised will be donated directly to the American Brain Tumor Association. This is the first national non-profit organization dedicated solely to brain tumors that focuses its efforts on raising money for families and funding research in the pursuit of discovering breakthroughs in brain tumor diagnosis, treatment, and care.
Please take a look at this organization's website and check out all of the amazing work they have done!

Additionally, the Commuter Student Services (CSS) at Fordham University and I are programming a bunch of fun events to raise additional funds for this amazing organization. Check out our mascot Brian the Brain below and our Facebook event page of what we have planned by clicking here !

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for reading and for any donations you are willing to offer these families and researchers. Anything is greatly appreciated and let's show these families how much love and support we have to offer.
