HELP SUPPORT OUR "DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH" NKY ICE CENTER
**Please help support GOOD people, that make up the spirit of a local, FAMILY-RUN ice rink in NKY in need of some major TLC.**
Collected funds will be utilized for the following projects:
- our current and future marketing videos (~$2-6k)
- the upper lot's concrete repair (~$30-40k)
- roof repairs/painting (~$50k)
- Zamboni (~$160-200+k) *down-payment support
- building/ice maintenance as ownership sees fit

Hi there! My children have participated in Northern Kentucky Ice Center’s (NKIC) Hockey Instructional Program (IP) and NKIC’s Learn-to-Skate (LTS) sessions. Our family has since developed an appreciation for ice sports and a love for NKIC.
While NKIC is a place of business, it certainly feels more like a welcoming family. We hope to have captured this spirit in our video above. Coaches/Instructors are knowledgeable…passionate…dedicated…humble… and most importantly, FUN!
This GoFundMe page is a call to our community to come together and support our local ice rink in its 25th year of The Miller Family ownership. No doubt, this pandemic has presented challenges for our local, small business owners, but above all, the Millers have always protected what is important inside NKIC: its people and its ice. I would like to return that support and help make sure The Northern Kentucky Ice Center is a staple in our community for many more generations to come.

Your Northern Kentucky Ice Center is home to both the Northern Kentucky Youth Hockey Association (NKYHA) and the Northern Kentucky Skating Club (NKSC), both of which, are leading the area in exposing athletes of all ages to the benefits of sport on the ice.
NKYHA is a USA Hockey affiliate and plays under the MIDAM Hockey region. NKYHA has an active membership of approximately 250 members and is growing. The NKYHA Mission: provide the youth of the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area, the highest quality youth sports program. The Association believes that participation in team sports can be an important ingredient in healthy youth maturation. Our programs are designed to generate self-esteem and good sportsmanship through skills development in a positive social environment. Above all, we try to assure that youth hockey is fun!
HS Varsity participates in both Kentucky High School Hockey League (KHSHL) and Cincinnati High School Hockey League (CHSHL).
HS Junior Varsity participates in independent play with teams from Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana.
Travel league U-8, U-10, U-12 & U14 age groups participate through the Buckeye Travel Hockey League (BTHL) offering players with stronger skills a more intense experience and the opportunity to compete at higher levels.
*House league play is organized to achieve a learning and recreational atmosphere featuring equal ice time for all and intramural competition among players of similar abilities.
Instructional Program (IP) allows skaters from year 5 through 10 the opportunity to learn the basics of Ice Hockey and the foundation to move to House or Travel play.
As a not for profit, volunteer organization, NKYHA is totally dependent on the commitment of Alumni, Parents, and others to fill all coaching and administrative positions. NKYHA also relies heavily on the generosity and support of parents and sponsors to keep our programs affordable to all. In this regard, the comments and suggestions of players and parents are always welcome.
