Hello everyone, I appreciate you taking the time to read this..
My dad was deported in 2013, and I think it’s time to try to bring him back home.. I never tried in the past as I was too young, and was being told there is no possibility.. but there is!
I was 17, Marilyn was 12, and Evelyn was 6 when our father was sent to jail due to a DUI, and removed 3 months after.. we were just little girls, and had our father ripped away from us.
It was hard for all of us; Evelyn, my baby sister didn’t get a chance to grow up with her father, she barely remembered him, all we had were FaceTime calls, and a chance to visit him every once in a while. We were forced to be separated, and it’s one of the worst feelings. He missed out on our high school graduations, so many birthdays, our accomplishments, our heartbreaks, he missed out on watching his kids grow, he missed out on so many milestones.. the world is cruel place.. and all we want is our father back home with us, to be able to be present for the rest of our lives..
We love our dad with all of our heart, and he is truly a great father. I know he made his mistakes, but no one deserves this.
My main goal was to buy a home, to have a stable home he could reside in, I focused on that for years.. and made it happen!
Last year, I finally started working with immigration lawyers, they did an investigation, and we finally have his records in, we waited about a year for them, and we were just told we could move forward with the petition and interview process!
Of course this is going to be costly, and due to my own expenses I can’t do it on my own.. so if me, my father, or any of my family members have ever made an impact on you, I am please asking for your help. Let my family be reunited again.
I know this happens to many families, and we are no different, but one shouldn’t be forced to live this way.. the system is so fucked..
anything helps, and I will be forever grateful..
