Versteeg Capodicasa Memorial Fundraiser

The sudden and unexpected passing of Kelly Versteeg has left her beautiful family completely heartbroken. She leaves her significant other Chris and their two daughters Ava (10) and Julia (7), as well as Chris Jr and Alex, Kelly's stepchildren which she fondly called her bonus children. Kelly was at Ava's soccer game when suffered a massive stroke.

Kelly was an amazing partner, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Her smile lit up a room and she is terribly missed. She was a beautiful soul that exuded warmth in all circles of her life. No matter how you knew Kelly she made you feel like you were friends forever. She was truly loved by everyone that knew her.

She was the glue of her family and passionately loved life. Her family was the most important thing to her. Her love and devotion to her children were unmatched. She was mom extraordinaire and loved Chris's shenanigans, even his Steelers parties! Kelly also excelled in her professional life. As an occupational therapist she worked for many years treating patients with brain injury. She had a very special gift working with this patient population. Most recently she worked doing quality and outcomes for Hartford Hospital Inpatient Rehab Unit.

So many of us were blessed to have called Kelly a friend. It was a blessing and privilege to have known her. May all of us take a piece of Kelly's wisdom and love with us each day.
