Help my brother ride again
Donation protected
My heart is broken. It took my brother 14 years and 100 shows to become a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeo clown, and yesterday, he had his saddle pulled out from underneath him.
The road to the PRCA is a long one. In 2008, Austin started doing rodeos. In 2015, he got his Barrelman Permit. And in 2017, he logged enough shows to qualify for his PRCA card. Regrettably, his first application to join the PRCA was rejected. Determined to get his card, he set out to create an act that would set him apart and captivate audiences across the country—Clydesdale Roman Riding. His first attempt to purchase the horses was cut short as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Finally, at the end of 2020, Austin saved enough to buy Wilson and Windsor, two Clydesdale brothers. His roman riding became a hit, and he earned his PRCA card. But yesterday, on the way home from his final rode of the year, he heard a crash from his trailer. He immediately pulled over, only to find that he had lost his sweet Wilson.
This is only a snippet of the blood, sweat, and tears Austin has put into his rodeo career. He has been kicked down over and over again, and I want him to know that he does not have to rebuild alone. Please help me get him back on the horse.
