Title: Shane’s Accidental 150km for Cancer Research

Story:

Against My better judgement (and love for sitting down), I have been reluctantly roped into running/walking/crawling 150km in just 10 days.

Yes, you read that right. 150 kilometres. In 10 days. From the 6th to the 16th of October, I will be Running more in 10 days than i usually does in 10 months.

Why? Because sometimes saying “No thanks, I’m busy” doesn’t work when friends, family, and a good cause are involved.

The good cause here is Cancer Research in Ireland – and every euro raised goes directly to supporting life-saving research and treatments.

⚠️ What to expect from Shane’s journey:

Moaning, lots of moaning.

Blisters in places that shouldn’t get blisters.

A new personal best in complaining.

Possibly some kilometres completed backwards, sideways, or with a limp.

But in all seriousness, cancer has touched too many families and communities. If I have to sacrifice my old knees, lungs, and general dignity to raise funds, then so be it.
