We are the family of Nisaye Rivera, July 2024 Nisaye was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. For months Nisaye was plagued by pain, that emergency doctors brushed off as a hemorrhoid, finally on the fourth visit a doctor opted to run more test which confirmed cancer, hitting us with a sudden blow to our hearts. Nisaye is a loving mother to two beautiful children; a daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to many. Although it feels as if time has stopped during this most difficult time, we understand life doesn’t work out that way. The realities of paying medical bills,copays, rent, light, food, prescriptions and Nisaye not being able to work, this is something we the family and friends are helping where we can.
