Nila Rose Hale

on Saturday 6th October I will be running Cardiff half Marathon.

I am raising money for a friend and her family

Nila Rose Hale was born in August 2023 to Sam (mum) and Leigh (dad) . She has a 7 year old sister and 5 year old brother who adore her. She is a happy, strong beautiful little girl who smiles and gives those around her joy despite the hardest of starts to life she could have been faced with. Nila was diagnosed in December 2023 with Wilms Tumours, a type of kidney cancer. Nila commenced treatment in December which meant she would need weekly chemotherapy. Nila has undergone numerous procedures and operations. Nila continued to have treatment until her surgery in March. Nila responded well to treatment which made the surgery possible. Nila had surgery on both kidneys in Birmingham children’s hospital and is now undergoing post-surgery treatment. Nila will continue to have chemotherapy until December 2024 and require regular monitoring.
