Teaching AIDS Prevention in India

Donation protected
Hello family and friends!

Recently I was accepted into IAPA's summer program to live in India for two months and teach  HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention in schools and villages throughout Chennai. India has the third largest population of people living with HIV/AIDS in the world, 145,000 of which are children. IAPA works with citizens in the community of Chennai and volunteers from Arizona to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

As most of you know, I am currently attending college at the University of Arizona in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health. This experience would help me obtain experience in the public health field, impact a large community around me and allow me to grow on a personal level as well.

Unfortunately a trip to India for two months comes with a significant price tag. I am seeking donations to help cover the cost of the trip, which will be approximately $4,000. Any amount, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.
