Nightlife Outreach Community Centre refurbishment

Since 2016, Nightlife Outreach has been a pillar of the Birmingham community, providing essential resources, support, and creative outlets to those struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues. Our initiatives range from live music events and creative arts classes to mental health workshops and substance education programmes, all with the goal of creating a healthier, more vibrant community.

Today, we stand at a critical juncture. Due to significant regeneration plans in Digbeth, we have had to relocate our community centre. We have secured a new central location in Birmingham that promises to be more accessible and central for everyone; however, the financial burden of this move is significant, particularly given the recent financial challenges faced by local institutions, including Birmingham City Council's bankruptcy declaration. This development threatens to further reduce the number of available community centres and support services, making our work even more important than before.

We are committed to transforming our new space into a welcoming and dynamic hub that meets the needs of our community. But we cannot do it without your help. We need funds to refurbish the new venue and make it a fitting home for our many services. Your donation will directly contribute to the renovation costs and help alleviate the financial strain of the move, which in turn, allows us to open to the public sooner.

Additionally, we are looking for volunteers from all backgrounds and skill sets. Whether you can offer time, expertise, or resources, your involvement will make a real difference in bringing our vision to life. Together, we can ensure that Nightlife Outreach continues to be a place of solace, creativity, and support for those who need it most.

In these challenging times, your support is more crucial than ever. A contribution of any size helps us not just to continue our work but to expand and enhance it, reaching more people and making a deeper impact. Please join us in this vital effort. Your generosity will resonate throughout the community, touching lives and building a future filled with hope and opportunity.

How Your Contributions Will Be Used:

Your generous donations are crucial for us to outfit our new space into a safe, welcoming, and fully accessible community hub. Specifically, your funds will support:

Building and Renovation Costs: Hiring skilled workmen to convert and customise the venue to suit our array of services. This includes structural changes, painting, and decorating to make the space inviting and vibrant.
Electrical Installations: Upgrading and installing new electrical wiring to ensure safety and accommodate our technical needs for various programmes and activities.
Accessible Facilities: Constructing accessible toilets and ensuring that all areas are wheelchair accessible, making our centre welcoming to all, regardless of physical ability.
Safety Enhancements: Implementing security measures and systems to ensure that our centre is a safe space for everyone, particularly catering to those with mental health issues who might find certain environments challenging.
Furnishings and Equipment: Purchasing necessary furniture and equipment to facilitate our workshops, classes, and community events. This includes seating, tables, therapy aids, and creative supplies.

Donate today and become a part of our community's future.

Let’s come together to make a lasting difference. Thank you for your kindness and belief in our mission.
