Hello

My name is Sukita. I am a mother, daughter, niece, friend, and community member. And today I am reaching out to help support a family member who is in need right now.

My aunt is a long-time teacher in New York. She truly loves her job. Recently she had to take time off work to have a surgery on her leg for mobility. There were some added complications in her recovery and she is in a fair amount of physical and emotional pain.

This time off work has depleted her financial ability to pay rent and bills. She searched for funding with several agencies and social workers but has not been able to get the necessary support. She is due back to work end of January/ early February and she is not able to pay her January and February rent. She humbly asked me for help figuring out a go fund me campaign.

Asking for help is hard, and necessary at this time and I am giving her the support to remember that many of us need more financial support, especially when we are in the vulnerable time of healing our bodies.

Please consider helping her out, our family is grateful. Any and all funds will go to her rent and bills.
