NICU fight fund for baby Parker

On Tuesday August 26th, Tim and Stephanie welcomed their second baby girl into their family. They named her Parker Lorena Abrams. Their sweet baby girl was delivered via c-section 14 WEEKS EARLY and was 1.4 lbs (590 grams). Steph had a normal pregnancy up until the week she was airlifted to New Hanover in Wilmington, NC. Her placenta was not providing appropriate nutrients to baby and she was not growing. This was compounded by Stephanie’s sudden diagnosis of severe pre-eclampsia.

The Abrams family is devastated about their current situation but fully believes in the power of Christ and prayer. They believe their baby girl is going to do something MIGHTY and she has already proven she is a fighter. Their hearts are now torn between two different cities and two little girls.

Parker is currently nestled in an incubator, and her lungs are receiving oxygen by a ventilator. She is given TPN (nutrition through a central line) and able to have very small amounts (1.5 ccs/day) of her mama’s milk. She has already had two blood transfusion and numerous ultrasounds of her heart and abdomen. She will likely be fighting multiple infections throughout her stay. Parker is a fragile premie, but we all have faith in the incredible medical team that is proactively and very closely taking care of her.

They have already been told Parker will be staying in the NICU at least until her due date of December 1st. Tim and Steph will be traveling back and forth from from New Bern to Wilmington. The Ronald McDonald house is not operating due to COVID which places an even greater expense of housing, forcing them to stay in a hotel.

This family is so generous and loving in all that they do. Let’s rally around them and show them just how much we all care. It is my prayer that we can raise enough money so the Abrams won’t have to worry about gas, food, and hotel costs for the next 3 1/2 month and any extra will be a blessing that will go towards medical bills. 

They are so appreciative of the prayers, donations, and support during this scary time! At this time, they don't know what tomorrow- or even the rest of the day will bring. They are taking small wins at this point as this little girl is a fighter! Keep fighting little Parker! You have a whole world that loves you so much and is cheering you on!
