Nicole's Solo Show & Marathon WE DID IT!!!!

Hi Friends & Family,

Hope this finds you as well as can be. 

At the start of 2023, I set 2 goals for myself, run the Nevis Marathon and perform my solo show. I was financially prepared to finance both, but then a plot twist.

Unfortunately, also at the start of 2023, I was not compensated for several months, and then, that same gig ended abruptly. Late payments are normal, tragic practices working in production - hence the WGA strike. Nonetheless, I'm powering through, employed at several gigs, and after doing the budget for my show, I realized my current income is not nearly enough to cover the expenses that come along with these two milestones.

I'm performing my solo show, The Evolution Will Not Be Televised at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival on September 23rd. Come! Your donation will help offset expenses such as marketing, travel, props, and paying my producer and director who have been instrumental in helping me bring this vision to life.

Lastly, I'm running the Nevis Marathon as an ode to my maternal Grandmother, Carrie Lee Lawson - a beautiful soul we lost too early from diabetes. I run for her.  Also, my Great Grandparents, Eglantine & George Stanley, were born in Nevis and raised my Father until he came to America at 12.  

In case you're wondering, Nevis is a tiny island in the Caribbean off the coast of Puerto Rico. I'm so proud to represent my family in what will be my first-ever marathon. Your donation will help offset expenses such as registration, travel, and gear.
