Nicola De Flora’s Eagle project

Hello, My name is Nicola De Flora; I am a life scout with troop 777 in Manhattan, New York. I am working on my Eagle Scout project, which has reached the fundraising stage. I will go into detail on the mission and sections of this project. In the United States, particularly in New York, we focus a lot on incarceration. Incarceration is separated into three major areas, one, conviction, and two time as an inmate and three life after release. My project focuses on areas two and three of this process. Your donation will help me support the “Thrive For Life Prison Project.”

Our first phase will be the “Good Turn” care packages. We will put together necessities such as clothing and food for those still within the prison system, particularly at Rikers. Our second phase is assembling three dining room tables for the Ignacio House program. In this program, Thrive for

life provides a place for former inmates to live while they work on their degrees. I hope to provide care for those often forgotten by society with these two phases. I appreciate any donations. Thank you, and have a wonderful day.
