Nico at the Prado

Nico is a  very talented, local street musician,
who plays his violin daily for tips at the Prado in the North End. He is loved by locals and tourists alike. He is a kind, gentle man who always has a smile on his face and a pleasant greeting for everyone who passes by. He loves to give the neighborhood dogs treats with the little that he has.  

Late Monday night/early Tuesday morning, Nico was robbed in the Prado. They stole his violin by cutting it off his body as he had it tied securely around him while he slept. His violin is his only source of income that was given to him by his mother 25 years ago. The violin is 125 years old. They also stole his tip jar, phone and other personal items. Nico is traumatized and shaken. Our hearts are broken over this. How people can be so cruel is something we as a community in the North End will never understand.

Neighbors are asking for donations for Nico to help replace his violin, phone, money for his storage unit, and other personal items.

Nico is very afraid and feels alone. We must come together and help Nico.
