For The Family of Nicholas Townsend, Nicole Hernandez, and Kinsliegh Townsend.

We are coming to you to share Nick, Nicole, and Kinsliegh’s recent life altering events and asking for help during

this trying time that their family is enduring. 2023 has been a difficult year for their family, and they are just at

the beginning of this battle they are having.

In February 2023, Nick was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Unfortunately, he did not have insurance. They

battled back and forth with financial aid at the hospital he is being treated at. The process has been slow. Nick

has been unable to work due to the amount of debilitating pain he is in every day; some days, he is unable to even move. This

has caused their bills to fall behind and medical bills to begin piling up. He has been to the emergency room

multiple times; thankfully, FINALLY, on April 17, 2023, Nick was admitted into the hospital. He has been in the

hospital since that day and each day the diagnosis keeps getting worse. His wife, Nicole, has been with him

day and night. As of April 22, 2023, Nick was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that has metastasized all

over his body, including his bones, skull, spine, ribs, and many other multiple places. He begins radiation

treatment on April 24, 2023, and he has to have surgery on that day as well. He will have inpatient radiation

treatments every day for the next week and half. Once released, he will have to continue radiation treatments

and chemotherapy as an outpatient. His medication, hospital bills, outpatient bills, and household bills are

already beginning to pile up and drown their family in despair. So, on top of the stress of worrying about Nick’s health, they are also carrying the burdens of continuing to be able to buy necessary life saving medication,pay their bills, rent, and other living expenses; while going

through this medical crisis. We know his journey with cancer is just beginning and we know they have a very,

very long road ahead of them.

On top of Nick’s battle with Cancer, he and Nicole’s 4-year-old daughter was attacked by a Pitbull dog at the

end of March 2023. Their baby girl had to have major trauma and plastic surgery; and remain in the hospital for a week and a half. For the next year, at least, her plastic surgeon said that their daughter will have

to have appointments every three weeks, potentially needing another surgery at the end of those twelve months. In spite of what the dog did to their daughter, she is such a strong, brave, and beautiful little girl.

(She definitely got her strength and resiliency from God, her dad Nick, and her mom Nicole.)

Nick is such a family man, who loves his wife, Nicole, and all of their children. He has worked in the refineries

for many years as a pipefitter. He has always been such an active, hard worker who's prided himself on taking

care of their family. Being unable to work has been really hard for him emotionally.

Nicole has been a stay-at-

home mom, making sure their 4-year-old baby girl is always cared for and loved;while simultaneously caring for extended family members who have needed assistance . Nicole has dedicated her heart and life to caring for her family and now more than ever they will need her by their side on this heart wrenching journey of treatments, hospitalizations, surgeries and countless Dr. appointments ,for both Nick & Kinsliegh (making it nearly impossible for her to rejoin the workforce at this difficult time).

We are asking for your help because of this trying time in their life. The future is unsure, and their family

needs your prayers, thoughts, and help. Any little bit you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
