CHICAGO’S NICK McCLOUD SELECTED AS WEEK 16 NFLPA COMMUNITY MVP
Nick McCloud has been selected as the Week 16 NFLPA Community MVP for hosting the Champions of Fatherhood Holiday Event with Daddy Victory Club, a community event aimed at supporting and uplifting fathers of color and their young children.
As a new father himself, McCloud is committed to helping other dads around him. Inspired by his father, Nakia, he is passionate about giving back and being an intentional parent. The Bears cornerback welcomed 30 fathers and their children to Play Street Museum in Chicago for conversation, connection, and fun. While the children explored the museum, dads had the chance to engage in meaningful dialogue, build connections and enjoy a fully catered meal.
Each family received a diaper bag filled with essential supplies, brand-new winter coats, and professional family portraits. The cornerstone of the afternoon was a panel discussion featuring McCloud and his father, where they reflected on fatherhood, accountability, and the importance of showing up. Their conversation opened the door for other fathers to share their own experiences, creating an honest and vulnerable space
This season, the fourth-year veteran also recognized the NFLPA’s Professional Athletes Foundation during the My Cause My Cleats campaign.
In recognition of McCloud being named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 16, the NFL Players Association will donate $10,000 to his nonprofit of choice. Along with the other Community MVPs from this season, he will also be eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which is the NFLPA’s highest player honor and includes an additional $100,000 donation.
As part of a new supporting partnership with GoFundMe, fans can now also make a donation directly to the NFLPA Community MVP’s selected nonprofit here.
Now in its 12th season, the NFLPA’s award-winning Community MVP campaign is part of the union’s continued efforts to support the year-round civic outreach and engagement of its player members. For more information about NFLPA Community MVP program, visit here .
