Today, they are struggling to survive under unthinkable conditions, and their eleven-year-old son, Ali, is in urgent need of life-saving medical treatment. Before the war, this family lived a modest but stable life. They had a home, a job, and dreams for their children’s future. But in an instant, everything was taken away. Their home was destroyed, their car was lost, and their source of income disappeared. Since then, they have been displaced multiple times — moving from one unsafe place to another in search of refuge. Now, they live in a fragile, makeshift tent on the beach. The tent barely protects them from the cold nights, rain, and winds. Every day they face danger, hunger, and fear. Their lives are a constant battle for survival. The most heartbreaking part of their story is Ali, a bright and gentle eleven-year-old boy born with a congenital heart defect — a hole in his heart. His condition requires urgent medical attention that is simply not available in Gaza. Without proper treatment abroad, his life is at serious risk. Instead of spending his days in school and play, Ali helps his family collect firewood because there is no gas to cook with. He drinks contaminated water because clean water has become almost impossible to find. The family’s food supply has run out, and famine is spreading. Despite it all, Ali still smiles — but every day, his heart grows weaker. I am doing everything I can to help this family evacuate Gaza and get Ali the medical care he desperately needs.
