I am an interior designer with a strong belief that a well planned environment has a powerful ability to foster change and growth in the lives of others. As a young design student, (about a decade ago) I dreamed to one day use my gift for altering environments to alter the way others could live.  Years later, I've been given the opportuniy to renovate an orphan home for girls in Romania through the organization Children To Love.  The sudden connect between a long time dream and reality has been overwhelming, and I feel as though it is a divine appointment. 
As a mom of two young boys, I've been doing freelance design work from home for the last 4 years. During that time, I was putting aside funds from the projects I acquired hoping that one day it would be able to be a part of the dream I was holding.  While this certainly helped me to develope some initial funding, I am still in need of further funds to assure that I leave behind an environment that has been renovated in a way that will truly impact the quality of life for the children.
The finances needed for my transportation and stay are all covered, but I am now hoping to grow the funds available to greater support the work I hope to complete during my time in Romania.
