Help Dave's Family Save Their Home

I never thought I would be here, writing something like this. Asking for help is painful, embarrassing, and humbling — but we have reached a point where we cannot get through this alone.

My partner, Dave, suddenly lost the job he dedicated 17 years of his life to. Our only vehicle broke down repeatedly, and after repair costs we couldn’t keep up with, it was repossessed. Without transportation, Dave had no way to get to work and had to leave his job.
We now have a reliable used car again, and Dave is applying for work every single day — calling, emailing, sending resumes — doing everything he can to get rehired.

But we are running out of time.

Because of an escrow shortage, our mortgage increased by $250/month this summer. We fell behind, and now we’ve been told that if Dave does not secure employment by January 1, foreclosure papers will be filed.

The fear of losing our home — the only stability we have left — is overwhelming.
We have no family to turn to.
Dave and I are both only children, and all of our parents have passed away. We have no extended family and no close friends to lean on. It is just us and our 24-year-old son with medical disabilities, who depends on us daily.

We’ve reached out to more than a dozen charities — United Way, Salvation Army, Orion, and many more — and every single one has told us the same thing:
“We have no funding available.”
We fully understand that many families are struggling right now. Times are hard for everyone. But we also know there are caring people in the world who help when they can, and we hope that those who are able might consider helping us the way they would want help if they were in our shoes.

We are praying every day for a miracle — not a handout, but a chance to stop this foreclosure and get back on our feet once Dave finds work again.

We are asking for help to catch up on the mortgage and save our home so we can survive this crisis until income is restored.
Any amount — even a few dollars — truly helps.

Thank you for reading our story.
Thank you for caring.
And thank you for giving us hope during the darkest time of our lives.

With gratitude,
Holly, Dave & our son
